Product Description and Intended Use

PerioTabs® helps reduce gingivitis, periodontitis, peri-mucositis and peri-implantitis. This product is used to brush the teeth and gums.

The procedure consists of brushing the teeth and gums with the provided tablets dissolved in lukewarm water. This product contains 10 small effervescent tablets (1 tablet per day for 10 days). One tablet is to be dissolved in 15ml of lukewarm water in the specially provided container to create the gum and tooth brushing solution. The brushing process is carried out with either a regular or soft bristle toothbrush by immersing it into the solution. You should brush every evening after eating. There is no need to use toothpaste when using the solution. In case of irritation or allergic reaction following the use of the gum and tooth brushing solution, SEEK IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION.

Please read the Warnings and Precautions before use.

  1. Fill the specially provided container with 15ml lukewarm water using the 15ml guide mark on the container. Carefully remove one tablet from the blister pack and place it in the lukewarm water (Figure 1). Wash your hands after handling the tablet.
  2. Immerse your new toothbrush in the solution and allow 15 minutes for the tablet to dissolve completely and for the toothbrush bristles to absorb the solution (Figure2). It is preferable to use a soft bristle toothbrush if your gums are extra sensitive.
  3. Once the tablet has completely dissolved, gently brush your teeth and gums (inner and outer) using the immersed toothbrush (Figure 3). Do not rinse the solution off the toothbrush prior to brushing. Do not use toothpaste either before or following this brushing session. It is recommended to immerse your toothbrush 2-3 times in the solution for a few seconds and brush for 2 minutes. Before re-immersing your toothbrush in the solution each time, rinse it under water first. Avoid swallowing the solution as you brush your teeth and gums. It is normal for the solution to have a bitter taste.
  4. After brushing, thoroughly rinse your mouth with water and discard the remaining solution (if any).
  5. Repeat points 1-4 every evening for the next 9 consecutive days.

Warnings and Precautions

The product is intended for use in the oral cavity, on gums and on teeth for a brief contact time (approx. 2 minutes). The tablet/ solution is for single use and for one patient and should be discarded after its first use.
Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients or to persulfates. Accidental ingestion of either tablet or solution or an allergic reaction may lead to irritation, swelling or breathing difficulties after first or any later use. If this occurs, discontinue use and seek medical attention. In case of a severe reaction contact a poison control centre immediately.
Direct eye contact with the tablet powder may cause eye damage. If in eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water and contact a poison control centre right away. Wash hands thoroughly after handling the tablet. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult a medical doctor before using the product.


Storage Recommendation

Keep out of reach of children or anyone who has difficulty reading or following the labels. Store dry and at room temperature. Do not freeze or refrigerate the product. Do not use after the expiry date.
